Want to sew a quick gift? I always want to give a handmade gift but usually wait until the last minute and then scramble to get something made. To be honest, sometimes the event arrives, and I find myself empty handed saying, “it’s coming, your gift is coming, I promise!”…Yikes!
Books + Sleeves = Great Gifts
Then it dawned on me, I just needed a quick and easy pattern..something I could make within an hour or so and know the recipient would love (if they are a book lover)… then fill it with a fabulous read! I’ve been using the Patchwork Book Sleeve pattern I designed and is currently listed in my Etsy Shop. It’s been working out great!
There are so many possibilities!
Below are some ideas of book and sleeve combos:
- Harry Potter fabric + Harry Potter book
- Halloween fabric + mystery book
- Favorite color + favorite book
- Summer fabric + beach read
- Christmas fabric + Christmas book
- Holiday themed fabric + holiday themed book
There are so many fun combos. Here are a few I’ve put together:
Anne of Green Gables Fabric + Marilla of Green Gables Book
